Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Overview

At Soroban Abacus, we are committed to delivering quality training and a positive learning experience. We understand that circumstances change, and this policy outlines our approach to refunds and cancellations fairly and transparently.

2. Free Demo Class

A free, no-obligation demo class is offered to all prospective students before enrollment. No payment is required for the demo class — there is nothing to refund at this stage.

3. Cancellation Before Enrollment Begins

If you cancel your enrollment before the first paid class:

• A full refund of any fees paid will be processed within 7 working days.
• Any non-refundable registration fee (if applicable and communicated at enrollment) will be deducted.

4. Cancellation After Classes Have Begun

Once classes have commenced, the following refund schedule applies:

• Within 7 days of first class: 75% refund of the remaining unused fees.
• 8–15 days after first class: 50% refund of the remaining unused fees.
• After 15 days: No refund is available for the current term's fees already paid.

Refunds are calculated based on the number of classes remaining in the paid term at the time of cancellation request.

5. Non-Refundable Items

The following are non-refundable under any circumstances:

• Registration or enrollment fees (if separately charged).
• Abacus kit, study materials, or any physical items provided at enrollment.
• Classes already attended or missed without prior notice.
• Demo class (offered free, no refund applicable).

6. Programme Discontinuation by Soroban Abacus

In the unlikely event that Soroban Abacus must discontinue a programme (for reasons such as insufficient enrollment or unforeseen circumstances), a pro-rata refund of all remaining unused fees will be processed within 14 working days.

7. Medical or Emergency Cancellations

We understand that emergencies happen. If a student cannot continue due to a medical condition or family emergency, please contact us with supporting documentation. We will review each case individually and strive to provide a fair resolution.

8. How to Request a Refund

To request a cancellation or refund:

1. Email us at info@sorobanabacusacademy.com with your name, enrolled student's name, and reason for cancellation.
2. Our team will acknowledge your request within 2 working days.
3. Eligible refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 7–14 working days.

9. Changes to This Policy

Soroban Abacus reserves the right to update this policy at any time. Changes will be published on our website and are effective from the date of posting.
